scotland, beaches, and caves
we went to St. Andrews. which is home to many things including the sport of golf and the third oldest university in the United Kingdom. We spent the day wandering a few streets, but mostly hanging out in the old cathedral which now stands in a state of almost ruin. Now it's more like the coolest graveyard i've ever been to. It sits on the coast, so the english channel is just peacefully right next to it. The sound of the seagull's really brings the beachy feel to it. it was also really cool because it was cardigan weather. This summer's weather has not been what i thought it would be but i'm not going to complain, these places are beautiful!
We also wandered into the castle nearby, or rather whats left of it. there is a mine that you can go down and explore if you want to.. so obviously i did. It was quite fun! A beautiful day for sketching and picture taking.
so thats scotland! now it's off to York!
