paris forever, please?
Paris!
oh paris. how do i make it more clear just how much i love love love
paris?! Today was incredible, and it was only my first day! It began
with us venturing into the Lourve, which can only be completely and
thoroughly done if you've got a whole century to spend there.
nevertheless we enjoyed and ohh'd and aww'd and saw many of it's biggest
attractions. The Mona Lisa was a mad house. SO MANY PEOPLE TAKING
PICTURES. it was quite humorous and mildly nervewracking. I had so many absorb-this-moment, moments today. Like when I saw Michelangelo's "the Captive". Or when i saw the Winged Victory (which inspired the nike swoosh).
I also got fed up with asian tourists--they were so aggressive. i kid
you not a 14 yr old shoved me out of her way on the stairs. my
noddle-esque museum legs were not happy with that.
After the Louvre we made the trip to Sacre Couer, which is a church located at the top of the biggest hill feasible (yes i'm being dramatic, no i'm not apologizing)
and saw breathtaking views of the city. It was so lovely. It felt like a
painting. which is just as well, because around the corner was Van Gogh's old home! Two things I love: Van Gogh and Paris! After walking
through the streets we went ended up at Moulin Rouge, which is great
cause i'm totally planning on watching that this week before i leave.
The night ended with some incredible crepes which we ate on the curb of a most picturesque street by the
church, and an incredible view of the Eiffel Tower sparkling. i've
probably said "is this real life?" about 75645335 times today.
i love paris.
i love paris.
i love paris.
